UPDATE: AD Affects A36 BonanzasJuly 01, 2010UPDATE 8/11/2010. New information is in red. The FAA has issued Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2010-13-10, requiring Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. propeller governors, part number D210760, be removed from service on A36 Bonanzas within 100 hours Time-In-Service of the AD's effective date, August 5, 2010. These governors were shipped by Ontic in August-October 2004. The part number is found on the propeller governor itself, and may appear in the engine logbooks. The AD also applies to certain non-Beech airplanes and parts numbers. This AD results from three reports received of failed propeller governors. FAA is issuing this AD to prevent loss of propeller pitch control, damage to the propeller governor, and internal damage to the engine, which could prevent continued safe flight or safe landing. For full details see AD 2010-13-10. |
