Please don't suggest this to the FAA!

Neil Pobanz at ABS tried to tell the FAA more than once that identifying a problem breaker switch is easy. If it does not snap when toggled and gets hot to the touch then it needs to be changed.

Police your switches and if you have one of the above scenarios... change it.

I don't think this is any grand revelation - also don't think the FAA is an ABS member, but I could be wrong on both.

My point is that if it is indeed dangerous, everyone using this design breaker should be at least aware.  If it's not, the AD is unfounded.  The goal here was to determine what, if any, special condition the Bonanza possesses that causes elevated risk.  So far, no one has identified anything.  So I'm starting to feel better about my replaced breakers...
