I don't think this is any grand revelation - also don't think the FAA is an ABS member, but I could be wrong on both.
My point is that if it is indeed dangerous, everyone using this design breaker should be at least aware. If it's not, the AD is unfounded. The goal here was to determine what, if any, special condition the Bonanza possesses that causes elevated risk. So far, no one has identified anything. So I'm starting to feel better about my replaced breakers...
