Tablet PC installation
« on: October 10, 2010, 08:09:13 PM »
Hi folks

I'm looking to install a tablet PC (not an Ipad as I'm using Jepp flightdeck) into my A36 (1988 model). I'm using my laptop right now, wich works fine on the left seat as long as you don't have a passenger up front. There are quite some possibilities to install them on the older models with a central yoke but I can't find any for the later models with the seperate dual yokes.

Any suggestions?

Greetz

Ram Mounts sells a mounting ball that will clamp to your newer yoke. They also sell holders for any type of tablet PC that you want to use. You should look at a Motion Computing LS800. Make sure you get the view anywhere screen. Used on eBay for about $400.00. Will run any pc based flight program you want to use. I've been using one for about 5 years with Mountain Scope as the moving map program and I love it. If you go this way get the mount with the attached fan for cooling.
