ABS met May 20th with the manager of the Wichita Aircraft Certification office and other FAA ACO engineers to discuss challenges in meeting the August 6th deadline set by AD 2008-13-17, the circuit breaker AD.   The meeting was very positive and FAA is considering a method to assure airplanes are no t grounded if ordered parts are not delivered in time for installation by the deadline. 

 

It is imperative that you order replacement circuit breakers now if you need them and have not already done so.  If an extension is granted it may require owners show documentation they have placed their breaker order before some as-yet-undetermined cutoff date.
