Hawker Beechcraft Bases Mobile Ground Support Vehicles Across the U.S.

WICHITA, Kan. (Sept. 1, 2011) – Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) today announced it has chosen the base locations for its Mobile Technical Support team’s current fleet of ground support vehicles. Announced earlier this year, these vehicles, in addition to a dedicated support aircraft, are equipped to provide quick response to unexpected customer aircraft service issues. Initially a ground support unit is positioned on the West Coast to cover Arizona, Nevada and California, while a second unit is based in the Northeast to support operators in the New York, New Jersey and Virginia region. Future plans call for an expansion of this service in other parts of the U.S., as well as in key strategic locations around the world.

“Speed of response is critical,” said Christi Tannahill, Hawker Beechcraft vice president, GCS. “To make sure the right resources arrive quickly, GCS is positioning its highly knowledgeable team of expert technicians, field support and management personnel where they can be equipped and dispatched on short notice anywhere in the continental U.S. Positioning the teams in these locations enables us to broaden our service area while ensuring we provide the best customer experience.”

The Mobile Support Vehicles are manned by a team of highly skilled maintenance technicians who provide such services as on-site troubleshooting, minor scheduled maintenance, limited scope time items, parts changes, avionics research for Part 91 operators, and engine removal and reinstallation on the entire family of HBC aircraft. This support complements the company’s extensive network of factory-owned and authorized service centers throughout the U.S.
